I would like to take a moment to congratulate all notable Namibians who were recently conferred with national honours at State House by president Nangolo Mbumba.
However, I’m dedicating this particular congratulatory message to John Mutorwa for your well-deserved honour of Most Brilliant Order of the Sun first class.
From the day you were appointed to the National Assembly and Cabinet in 1992, you served Namibians in truth and with integrity. You did not stumble or derail when serving Namibians for the past three decades.
The longevity of your political career stands as a testament of your hard work, integrity and service delivery to the people of Namibia.
Politics can be a rough game where many fall short, but you have demonstrated that a man with character, integrity and dedication to service delivery can in fact have an impactful and long political career in Namibia.
If there is any young aspiring politician in Namibia wishing to have an impactful and long political career, they should look no further, your integrity and service delivery should serve as their model.
You have laid down the blueprint, and those with wisdom will see it.
God has seen your work and service delivery to the people of Namibia.
The president has seen your work too, that’s why he appointed you as the deputy prime minister and honoured you with the Most Brilliant Order of the Sun, first class.
Lastly, you must know that we, ordinary Namibians, too have seen your work.
We appreciate you and pray for your health and that of your family.
