Fans of the hit Netflix series ‘Young, Famous & African’ are in for a treat as the show welcomes new cast members for its anticipated third season.

Namibian celebrity Luis Munana is again set to appear on the show promising to bring a fresh dynamic to the already captivating storylines.

In a recent interview, Munana expressed excitement about the new addition to the cast.

“For the third season, you can see that we have been joined by new faces. . . And the season is very dramatic. I think this time around, people just felt like they needed to say what they’ve been keeping in. They just needed to release and explode,” he said.

“This season will show a different side of me, because people know me as this reserved, quiet guy. But this time around, I think judging from the little snippet that dropped, the little teaser that dropped, you could see that there was a lot of a lot of drama.”

“There were a lot of explosions. So you could expect those moments in the show.”

The global platform on Netflix has been a significant factor in the show’s success.

“The exposure the show gets you, plus the pay, is good. I mean, Netflix is viewed worldwide, not just in Namibia, not just in Africa. So it’s a global platform. So for me, that reach was very important . . . I could use this to my advantage in the future,” he said.

Munana emphasised the importance of embracing humanity and imperfection, not only on the show but as someone in the public eye.

“We are not perfect, because sometimes people tend to think because they’re in the public eye, you have to maintain a certain image. We are human being with feelings. So I think this season will convey that lots of people are not perfect, including myself,” he said.

Munana said he and his castmates have their flaws and make mistakes just like anyone else.

Munana rose to fame when he appeared in the ninth season of ‘Big Brother Africa’. He is an entrepreneur, model and founder and creator of the children’s show ‘Waka Waka Moo’, an original Namibian show.

The former model, who has showcased his talents on catwalks in London and the United States, has also launched his own clothing line – Zuriel.

As the show prepares to unveil its latest chapter, viewers can expect a season filled with emotions, unexpected twists, and the exploration of complexities among friends.

In the last episode, Munana did not have it easy after South African media personality Bonang Matheba dragged him about an incident dating back to 2016. In a heated exchange, Matheba accused Munana of lying about her.

Munana said while he enjoyed the production, he was distracted because of Matheba, her personal assistant and her lawyers demanding that he retract his comments on screen.

“The way things went down, I don’t know if I will be in the next season,” he said during the second season.

The third season of ‘Young, Famous & African’ is set to premiere on 17 January. Fans are counting down the days to witness the drama unfold.
