A 31-year-old man was killed in a stabbing at Keetmanshoop last week after he got into an argument with a person following a request for a cigarette.

According to a police report released on Sunday, the suspect stabbed the victim twice – once in the left side of his chest and once behind his left shoulder.

The incident happened at a bar in the Ileni area of Keetmanshoop.

The police reported that the victim of the stabbing went to a bar, where he found some women sitting and asked them for a cigarette.

A man who was also at the bar got angry after the request for a cigarette and started to argue with the victim, before he stabbed the victim twice, the police reported.
