Masters swimmers don’t swim under their countries. but rather for their club, so the swimmers will all be representing Marlins Swimming Club in Windhoek.
The Namibia Swimming Union (Nasu) wished them the best of luck, saying that they had trained very hard for the championships.
“These swimmers have done a fantastic job of maintaining their training, as currently their club swimming pool is undergoing improvements and maintenance. They have made use of private swimming pools, gym swimming pools and the ocean to maintain their training. Congratulations to all of you for your dedication. We at Nasu are super proud to see that masters swimming is on the increase and especially to be represented by such stellar individuals,” it said in a statement.
