The Swapo Party School office of the director offered a message of condolence on the death of founding president of Namibia, Sam Nujoma.
The Swapo Party School board of directors, staff and graduates received with profound sadness and deep grief the news of the death of the patron of the Swapo Party School, founding president of the Republic of Namibia and father of the Namibian nation, Sam Shafiishuna Nujoma.
The board of directors conveys its heartfelt sorrow and condolences to the bereaved Nujoma family and the Namibian nation at large.
As patron of the Swapo Party School, Nujoma was emphatic about the importance of ideological training of party members and the significant role of the school in instilling the correct mindset to develop Swapo cadres to become well-grounded in Swapo history, philosophy, and ideology so that they would be capable to acquire the Swapo value system, its political orientation and exhibit exemplary behaviour and conduct.
He implored Swapo to make the Swapo Party School a centre of excellence in the development of political skills and knowledge of cadres driven by the spirit and party principles of solidarity, freedom and justice towards cohesion in society and comradely interaction among students, staff and the party leadership.
The board of directors wishes all school staff, all peace-loving Namibians, and indeed members, supporters and sympathisers of Swapo renewed strength and good health to cope with this sad news.
May his legacy inspire us to strengthen the Swapo Party School to remain the custodian of Swapo ideology. May his vision of a united and prosperous Namibia be our inspiration.
