I AM so grateful and thankful for the wonderful article (on the Religion page) on June 15 2007 in The Namibian.
It was written by Jason Szep and it was about our Church, with the heading: ‘Mormons come out of the closet’. I, as a reader of your newspaper, enjoy The Namibian newspaper and will always support it, because of your positive writings and amazing news stories which keep us updated in the country.Thank you once again for the wonderful article. It was not the first time that your newspaper has published an article in the papers about our church. We are here to serve our fellow brothers and sisters and help wherever we can to build the community.I do have a small correction that I want to make.It was reported: “Although Mormons revere Christ as Saviour and consider themselves devout Christians, they reject the unified Trinity and teach God has a body of flesh and blood.” The phrase “God has a body of ?esh and blood” is not true.We do not teach this doctrine, this is false doctrine. The reason is that blood is mortal and we learn that God is immortal. What we do teach is: “God has a body of ?esh and bones”, and that He is immortal.Jesus has taught us in John 14:9 (whole chapter 14) “he that hath seen me hath seen the Father”.This we can ?nd in the Scriptures. Please feel free and visit our website at www. lds.org or www.mormon.org.Marcell Noble SwakiopmundI, as a reader of your newspaper, enjoy The Namibian newspaper and will always support it, because of your positive writings and amazing news stories which keep us updated in the country.Thank you once again for the wonderful article. Please feel free and visit our website at www. lds.org or www.mormon.org.Marcell Noble Swakiopmund
