MTC brings hope with gospel music

UNWRAP.ONLINEGOSPEL music lovers can get ready for a thrilling concert with an impressive line-up of 17 performances by Namibian and South African artists.

The MTC 081Every1 Hope Concert that was launched in style on Friday evening promises to be the event of the year and will offer psychological relief to Namibians in the face of the devastating Covid-19 pandemic.

MTC chief human capital and corporate affairs, Tim Ekandjo, however said given the current limitations brought about by the pandemic, only 100 people will have the privilege to watch the show.

Tickets for exclusive attendance are available at N$2 000 while the rest of the country will be able to watch the show on MTC social media platforms.

The event will take place on 3 July at the Safari Court Hotel and Casino in Windhoek.

“Covid-19 has affected us in different ways. Some have lost relatives, friends, jobs or suffered salary cuts, and some have lost hope. With this concept, we are saying we must never lose hope. As a nation, the challenges that we face shall come to pass too,” said Ekandjo.

Gospel heavyweights like Benjamin Dube, who is no stranger to Namibia, and the sensational South African gospel singer Buci Radebe are also lined-up to enchant their Namibian audiences and fans.

Music personalities that will make part of the line-up includes gospel music ambassadors Vuuyo, Pride, Franklin and Dee’A, Rodney Seibeb, Maranatha, Joharetha, Elizabeth, Manda Gabriel, Effy-Otjimbundu, Ayanda Ntanz as well as the Nam Gospel United.

Other groups that will also perform include Choirs Clive and Now Generation Choir, Collective Gospel Choir, Vox Vitae and the Vocal Reflection.
