Mushelenga recognises Shuumbwa as Ondonga king

URBAN and rural development minister Peya Mushelenga today recognised Fillemon Shuumbwa Nangolo as the legitimate ruler of Ondonga.

In his letter to the Ondonga Traditional Authority, Mushelenga acknowledged receiving the application dated 15 April 2018 as well as another one dated 7 June 2019 asking him to recognise Shuumbwa as the ruler to succeed King Immanuel Kauluma Elifas, who died in March.

The minister has also asked the traditional authority that he be informed of the date, time and place of designation in writing to enable him to attend the event.

“Kindly notify me as required by law to enable us to complete the recognition process,” he wrote.
