The festival will be held over four days at the Walvis Bay municipality’s parking area. Swingtide Events is organising the event, which will take place from 6 to 9 April, with the theme ‘Promoting Home-grown talent”.

Artists include DJ Spuzza, Musketeers, Azmo, and Mega.“The festival aims to bring people together to experience the various positive aspects and flavours ofthe music and arts industry, including the international space,” Hamalwa says.

He says the festival’s goal is to support the growth of all types of microbusinesses, and this year’sevent will include vocal, instrumental and electronic performances, dance competitions, arts and craftsexhibitions, music education exhibitions and stalls selling local products.

“Last year, we hosted our first music and arts festival at Windhoek’s Sam Nujoma Stadium, withsponsorship from Namib Mills (Real Good Chicken, Pasta Polana, and Top Score), Tafel Radler, and a littlehelp from the community, and the outcome was fantastic,” Hamalwa says.
