Namibia drawn in Group A for 2021 Afcon qualifiers

WINDHOEK – The Brave Warriors were on Thursday night drawn in Group A of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers.

The biggest continental showpiece will be staged in Cameroon in 2021.

The senior national football team was drawn in Group A alongside Mali, Guinea, and the winner between Liberia and Chad who will play preliminary matches that will involve eight teams determined by their last Fifa rankings.

After the preliminary rounds the winners of the four matches will head into the group phases of the qualifiers.

The 48 teams that will compete in the 2021 Afcon qualifiers will be divided into 12 groups of four teams each and the top two sides from each group will earn a ticket to the continental showpiece in Cameroon. – Nampa
