Namibia finish eighth

NAMIBIA finished eighth overall at the ICC Cricket World Cup qualifiers when they lost the seventh play-off match against UAE by four wickets yesterday.

Namibia batted first and scored 267/9 off their 50 overs.
Nicolaas Scholtz top scored with 54 runs, while JB Burger added 42 and Gerrie Snyman and Louis Burger 33 each.
The UAE easily reached the winning total with eight overs remaining, scoring 269/6.
Their captain Khuram Khan top-scored with 124 runs, while Sameer Nayak added 60 and Saqib Ali 41.
Namibia’s top bowlers were Louis Klazinga (2/61 off nine overs) and JB Burger (2/28 off five overs).
