Namibia Netball Premiership gets new entrants

Cuca Tops and Extreme Netball Club will be making their MTC Namibia Netball Premier League bows this coming season, following their promotion.

Along with Afrocat Lions and Unam Jaguars, who both featured in the premiership last season, they earned their new status through the play-offs held in Windhoek over the weekend.

Cuca Tops hail from the Kavango East region and Extreme will be the first team from the Oshana region to play in the premier league.
Netball Namibia hailed it a special milestone for both clubs.

“We are thrilled to announce that the playoffs have concluded at the Khomasdal Stadium at Khomas, and we have our teams ready for the 2025 premier league season. A huge congratulations to the teams for their outstanding performances,” Netball Namibia said in statement yesterday.

“This season is particularly special as it marks the first entry into the premier league for both Cuca Tops and Extreme Netball Club.

“We are incredibly proud of these teams for their hard work and dedication that has led them to this moment. We are excited to see what these new contenders will bring to the league,” the national netball governing body noted.

“Let’s rally behind our teams as they prepare for an exhilarating season ahead.”
