Namibia Sport Fixtures

The Paratus Namibian Cycle Classic takes place this weekend. File photo

There’s a full weekend of sport activities in store in Namibia including football, cycling, futsal and hockey amongst others.

The Paratus Namibian Cycle Classic takes place for the 25th consecutive year with the MTB Classic to start at 07h00 on Saturday morning and the Cycle Classic at 07h00 on Sunday morning. Both events will start and finish at the Hage Geingob National Rugby Stadium where there will be lots of other activities including live music as well as entertainment and a jumping castle for the kids, vendors selling food and drinks, bike shops exhibiting their wares, as well as live musical performances.

The Debmarine Namibia Premiership continues with Round 4 and 5 throughout Namibia, with the pick of the matches being the heavyweight clash between Blue Waters and African Stars at the coast. 

The Namibia Futsal League continues at the Windhoek Showgrounds, while the Standard Bank Junior Hockey Festival takes place at the WHS Fields. The cricket season also gets into full swing with the start of the T20 League.
