The organisers of the Miss Petite Global pageant have announced that Namibia is set to make a triumphant return for the third edition of Miss Petite Global 2024, which takes place in Malaysia in May.
They say the national director from Namibia, internationally recognised pageant contributor, model agent and fashion stylist, Bobby Kaanjosa, will be joining the pageant for the second consecutive year with Miss Petite Global.
The Miss Petite Global pageant was launched in Malaysia in 2020, by Nickson Sim and Leo Raynold. It aims to promote women’s empowerment through different social causes and to redefine the concept of beauty by opening its doors for petite women who are also capable, intelligent and empowered.
Kaanjosa says the platform has given him the opportunity to do what he loves and this year, he aims to export more Namibians to international stages.
“I am honestly humbled as this gives me yet another opportunity to really do what I love. Last year, I was awarded the best national director and I aim to get a back to back. My purpose in this life is to make other people’s dreams come true and pageants are my contribution. I am happy when I am doing my pageants,” Kaanjosa says.
He adds that with his brand, he wants to do more promotions.
This year, they will be involving more women with the platform, which is why they decided to host an online pageant, he says.
Last year, he learned a lot and will be doing more this time around, he adds.
“Last year was our first year and it was quite a ride. Our queen Kai Zamuee at the time was already based in Malaysia, so the preparations were quite hectic as I was in Namibia. But she did amazing at the finals in May last year and was awarded best in the interviews contest. The biggest lesson I learned is time and preparation are very important in this business and that is why our 2024 queen will be crowned in February, so we have three months to prepare,” he says.
