It’s weekend and there’s once again a lot of sporting activities in store for Namibian sports fans.
The Debmarine Namibia Premiership comes to an end with the final round of matches on Saturday, while African Stars, who have already won the title, take on Young Brazilians at Windhoek’s Independence Stadium.
Stars will also have an open bus parade with the league trophy through Windhoek and Katutura as well as an after party with their fans at Paaltjies on Sunday.
The final round of the Southern Stream First Division will also be held, with Khomas Nampol already the champions, while the FNB Women’s Super League continues with matches in Windhoek, Oshakati and Gobabis; and the Bank Windhoek Ramblers u21 tournament continues at the Ramblers field.
In rugby, the Windhoek Draught Welwitschias take on the Kenyan Simbas in their Mzansi Challenge match at the Hage Geingob Stadium on Saturday, while the Premier League continues with matches in Windhoek, Rehoboth, Walvis Bauy and Grootfontein.
Log leaders United host Unam on Friday night, while Wanderers travel to Grootfontein, Kudushost Western Suburbs,and Rehoboth and Reho Falcon face off in the Rehoboth derby.
The women’s rugby league also continues with matches at various centres. The weekend’s fixtures are as follows:
