The Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) announced today that it will undertake its second Namibia Time Release Study at the Trans Kalahari Border Post.
The study which is designed to measure the actual time required for the release and clearance of goods will take place from 15 to 25 January. The study begins its measurements from the time of arrival until the physical release of cargo.
It aims to identify bottlenecks in the trade flow process and implement measures to improve the efficiency of border procedures.
“The process entails measuring the actual clearance time of cargo from the time of arrival in Namibia until the physical release of the shipments to the traders in accordance with Article 7.6 of the World Trade Organization Trade Facilitation Agreement,” said NamRA.
