SWAPO vice president Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has paid tribute to the late president Hage Geingob.

The president died in the early hours of Sunday.

“It is with sadness that I learned of the untimely passing of our president, comrade Hage Geingob, a true democratic and transformational leader, who touched many lives,” Nandi-Ndaitwah said.

Vice president Nangolo Mbumba announced Geingob’s death on Sunday morning.

Nandi-Ndaitwah on social media platform X said Geingob’s legacy will live on.

“I join all of you in sharing our deepest condolences with the bereaved family and the entire nation,” she said.
