National Democratic Party to launch manifesto on Sunday

The National Democratic Party (NDP) is set to launch its manifesto in Windhoek on Sunday.

Party leader Martin Lukato is expected to launch the manifesto.

Both Swapo and the Independent Patriots For Change (IPC) are launching their manifestos on Saturday.

Lukato, at a press conference in Windhoek last week, said the party, if elected into power, will upgrade infrastructure.

He said the party will also allow submissions of candidates interested in contesting for and being elected to the electoral college on 26 September.

“The NDP electoral college will be held for two days, on 6 and 7 October, at Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi region,” he said.

Lukato said the party would fast-track the finalisation of the Trans-Caprivi Highway to connect Namibia to neighbouring countries.

“The NDP will ensure that Mpacha Airport is upgraded to an international airport, which would connect us to many neighbouring countries and attract tourists from all over the world,” he said.
