Namibia Correctional Service took a two-point lead at the top of the Southern Stream First Division log after an emphatic 6-0 victory against Latinos at Rehoboth on Saturday.

That win put NCS at the top of the log on 15 points after winning five of their opening six matches.

Blue Boys, who were joint leaders going into the weekend’s matches, dropped two points behind NCS after being held to a 2-2 draw by Eleven Arrows in their coastal derby at Mondesa Stadium on Saturday.

Blue Boys are now second on the log on 13 points, while Arrows are third on 11 points, just above Latinos, who remain fourth on 11 points, despite their drubbing to NCS.

Mariental Sport Club gained an important away win, beating Dates Eleven 1-0 at the J Stephanus Stadium at Keetmanshoop to go fifth on the log on 10 points, just above Dates Eleven on goal aggregate, while Davos FC also moved up to 10 points after beating DTS 2-0 at the DTS field.

Try Again FC moved up to eigth position on nine points after beating Oranjemund FC 3-0 at Rosh Pinah, while DTS are now ninth on four points; Ramblers 10th on three points; and Oranjemund 11th on one point.

Black Africa, who have been suspended due to infighting at the club, are bottom of the log on zero points, after all of their matches to date were abandoned.
