NDF company suspends managing director, finance manager

The board of directors of the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs company August 26 Logistics has announced the suspension of the company’s managing director, Salatiel Ntinda, and finance manager, Kallie Nel, on allegations of misconduct.

The two were suspended on Monday this week, the board said in a media statement on Thursday afternoon.

In the statement, the board said August 26 Holdings, the principal company of August 26 Logistics, will institute the necessary proceedings against the board chairperson of August 26 Logistics, Petrus Nathinge, as well.

Nathinge serves as deputy executive director in the Ministry of Defence and Veterans Affairs.

The board says an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
“It is just prudent and tactical in the interest of safeguarding the integrity of the unfolding process, that we do not comment further on these allegations until investigations are finalised,” the company stated.
