NDF is not for stupid people – Ndaitwah

Namibia’s first gentleman, lieutenant general Epaphras Denga Ndaitwah, on Tuesday said the belief that the Namibian Defence Force (NDF) recruits “stupid” people must stop.

Giving a motivational speech to students at Triumphant College, Ndaitwah stressed the importance of education.

“It (the NDF) is only for people who have gone to school and graduated. Therefore, the notion of stupid people must go to NDF, please, it must stop,” he said.

“There are some people who have this fear of developing others because they think that the moment they develop you, it is as if something is being taken away from him or her. By developing others, you produce more leaders and managers,” he stated.

Ndaitwah highlighted that everything he had accomplished was made possible because he went to school, and urged young people to pursue an education.

He encouraged young people to become leaders and help develop those around them.
