A soul is not something you can give away or sell. It is part of our bodies like the mind, intelligence, ego or even our senses.
We think that these parts are distinctly ours, but if you analyse how they all work, you realise that they are actually under the control of something else. They are given to you by someone else and they are shaped by the experiences gained from interaction with other people.
Selling out to devil means putting them under control of another entity rather than the usual God-rooted culture. However, I am of the opinion that these predatory practices are caused by the habit of normalising what is not. This happens in most, if not in all, regions of Namibia.
A perfect example of this is killing. Cases are reported every week. Men are killing women. I am not saying that because I detest men. I am a man. I am just trying to stand for the reality, so there’s no hate.
Just this year alone, many women have lost their lives at the hands of men. To make things worse, children went missing, some were discovered dead. For what reason are we doing all these things? What are we getting out of it?
We, the youth, are somehow colonised by nothing but by alcohol and drugs which we abuse every day. Such undesirable acts lead us to do undesirable things like killing.
God is watching us – nothing is hidden from Him. If you kill someone purposely, each night will send you those bloodied bodies with limbs torn asunder screaming so loud you can never sleep.
Your soul is now bought and paid for. You have no place with God and you must one day pay the price of an eternity of frenzied pain – each nerve on fire, each bone aflame. Your soul is now in hell’s inferno.
In addition, let us be valorous and true to ourselves with everything we do. Never sell your soul to the devil as hell is for real.
