The police at Noordoewer in the //Kharas region on Friday arrested two men who were allegedly found in possession of large amounts of unexplained cash.

The police say the duo, aged 38 and 54, were arrested at a mobile police roadblock on Friday after being found in possession of N$500 000 and R225 000.

The police have opened a case of contravening the Prevention of Organised Crime Act against the pair.

The police at Karasburg are investigating a case of rape after a man allegedly raped a girl (12) on Saturday morning near an abandoned building at the southern town.

“It is alleged that the suspect forced himself on the victim and raped her,” the report says.

At Otjiwarongo in the Otjozondjupa region, the police are yet to arrest a man who allegedly raped his daughter (14).

It is alleged that the man raped the girl in the new Ombili residential area on Friday.

The police have opened a case of rape and incest, read with the Combating of Domestic Violence Act, against the suspect.

Police investigations continue.
