On NBC Cutbacks

ALLOW me to air my view with regard to the article about NBC programming cutbacks. It is with great sadness that I read that the NBC programming is going to be limited.

It is funny how our leaders always look out for themselves first. As it is now, we don’t even get entertainment worth the payment of a TV license and now they are cutting the programming and ending at midnight. What are they taking away? The China TV that starts at 00h00 almost every day or what? I advise that they cut costs by taking out those unnecessary programmes and improving on the current boring entertainment they are feeding us, or else they must reduce the cost of the TV licence.Did Mr Ya France consider the needs of the Namibian citizens or was it just the financial status of the NBC that was considered? In this cost-cutting saga, are they also looking at the salaries of the high-ranking officials together with their benefits? Or is it again another sign that it is difficult to be poor in Namibia and another sign that choices are imposed on you and a final sign that our leaders are inconsiderate?
