One dead, 25 hurt in Bangladesh blast

DHAKA – One man was killed and nearly 25 wounded in Bangladesh yesterday in a blast near a court building where lawyers were marching as part of a daylong strike, police and witnesses said.

Police and local reporters covering the strike said the explosion occurred at a police checkpoint near the building in Gazipur, 30 km north of the capital Dhaka.
