Origo Primary School at Rehoboth introduces e-learning

Origo Primary School at Rehoboth has taken steps to introduce digital tools and resources to facilitate learning outside of the traditional classroom setting.

E-learning and computer studies teacher Angelo Zaahl says the programme is the first of its kind for the school.

He says e-learning is needed as a learning support tool.

“It is beneficial to all pupils, especially those with learning difficulties. It improves their reading and numerical skills . . .

“We already have a computer lab, but e-learning materials were installed by Genius company for the school,” Zaahl says.

He says the materials include multimedia content like mathematics and languages programmes, videos, animations and simulations.

“This can make lessons more engaging and help pupils understand complex concepts more easily,” Zaahl says.
