The two murder suspects arrested on Sunday in connection with the death of Christof Frederiks (30) made their first appearance in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
The suspects, Namwandi Nandomba (19) and Mervin Beukes (18), were denied bail.
Frederiks was brutally murdered at Otjomuise in Windhoek last week.
The case has been postponed to 31 July for further investigation.
The two men have been transported to the Windhoek Correctional Facility, where they will remain in custody.
Meanwhile, Police spokesperson Elifas Kuwinga confirmed the additional arrests of two female suspects allegedly responsible for intentionally destroying evidence to conceal the identities of Nandomba and Beukes.
“One female suspect is a sister to the suspects arrested on Sunday, while the other’s relationship to the suspects has not yet been established,” Kuwinga says.
