Outapi to host first Miss Omusati Region 2016

LIRA Entertainment and Events Management, powered by Big Boss Promotions, will be hosting the first ever Miss Omusati Region in an effort to improve the living status of the vulnerable students and community at large in the region.

The pageant is expected to be one of the region’s most anticipated events which will likely see the attraction of numerous youth and professionals attending.

Miss Omusati Region is a non-profit event with proceeds from the pageant to be used to empower scholars in region with necessities such as books, computers and school uniforms.

The town of Outapi will be hosting the pageant and the crowning will take place at the Omankete Lodge located on the Outapi /Ruacana main road on 3 September.

Founder of the event, Rousa Shikoha, a young entrepreneur, is hoping to change the lives of people in the community with this pageant.

“I hope to improve the economic status, quality of living and most importantly come up with possible projects to empower women and children who are victims of gender-based violence country wide,” she said.

Miss Omusati Region will work hand-in-hand with Shikoha to ensure that the projects set out are carried out to benefit the vulnerable women and children in the region.
