Patricia Ochurus presents cultural play at NTN

Namibian singing sensation Patricia Ochurus will soon fulfil her dream of hosting her own play at the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN).

Undoubtedly one of the country’s most gifted female singers, Ochurus, who has a glittering career in showbiz that spans over 20 years, will be hosting a play under her House of Cultures programme, which is a youth vocal training project.

Operating under the slogan ‘Building Our Own’, which has over 30 youths registered under its name in 2010, the play will include choral music, poetry and creative dancing.

The veteran of the stage, who has been wowing the crowds with her crystal-clear voice, Ochurus honed her singing prowess as a member of the Evangelical Luthern Youth Choir. She has seen it and done it all in choral music.

She is also no stranger to creative dancing, because she spent most of her youth touring the southern African region with the now-disbanded Kayek Cultural Group.

Now a devoted born-again member of the Bethesda Healing Centre, she will literally live her dream when she graces the NTN with her play on Saturday.

Apart from her musical, the event will also see two guest appearances from Ma /Gaisa star Jaliza and Moritz Haraseb.
Doors will open at 17h00, while the much-anticipated event will start at 19h00.

Entrance fee is N$50 for adults and N$25 for children under eight years. Patrons will be charged N$70 at the gate and the tickets are available from all Pick n Pay outlets.
