Personal Service with BZ Motor Repairs and Services

Ecuadorian businessman Fabrizio Moreira once said: “Business is all about the customer – what the customer wants and what they get. Generally, every customer wants a product or service that solves their problem, is worth their money, and is delivered with amazing customer service”.

While nothing rings more true than this statement, sadly, locally many businesses lack basic customer service, especially in bigger corporations. However, there are some small business which rely on every aspect of keeping their clientele happy and delivering quality service.

BZ Motor Repairs and Services is one such business. With vast mechanical knowledge and a long history in the motor repair industry, owner Beau Izaaks took a leap of faith about four months ago when he opened his own shop in the Lafrenz Industrial Area.

“I’m a qualified petrol mechanic,” Izaaks said, adding that he received his vocational education through the Namibia Training Authority which is inclusive of the National Trade Testing and Certification (NTTC) system.

For approximately a decade, Izaaks lent his expertise to M&Z Motors, where two of those years he worked as a shop foreman.

Changing course, Izaaks went on to work at Bauer’s Autowerkstatt where he could remain in the position as foreman, but also get his hands a little dirty in the workshop.

Two-and-a-half years on, the able mechanic pursued his dreams and decided to open his own establishment.

“I had this passion to deliver a quality service to my clients and I knew it wasn’t an impossible dream,” he said. He added that with the support and motivation he received from his wife, he was inspired to follow his dreams. “I believe that I can deliver top notch customer service.”

But with all dreams, blood and sweat is inevitable. And with BZ, Izaaks controls all the lines and literally carries the business on his shoulders. “I do a lot of the work myself,” he said, adding that he not only works on the vehicles but does administrative work as well such receiving phone calls, bookings, walk-ins and invoices.

Although he admitted this may be laborious at times, he feels he gives his customers fair peace of mind as he handles everything personally.

Specialised in Mitsubishi cars, Izaaks has expanded into working on all vehicles as there is a limit to the brand locally. While mechanics is his main area of prowess, electrical work can also be done as he owns high-end diagnostics tools.

Car owner Trevor Brockerhoff recently had his Mercedes-Benz in for some work at BZ, and seems to be a happy customer. “He is solid,” Brockerhoff said. “Beau is very good at what he does and he is always accessible,” he said, mentioning a moment when his starter broke and Izaaks went to his location to fix his car without a hassle.

“That’s just the type of guy he is. He is the only person who works on my cars,” Brockerhoff said.

Izaaks says clients should come to him for solutions to their problems as he not only offers affordable rates, but high grade work as well. “People will keep bringing their cars back to me, but never for the same reason,” he added.

In the next five years, Izaaks hopes his business grows to a point where he can employ high calibre mechanics, administrative staff, and finally be able to take a couple of breaths in between his shifts.
