Pitt quits over script

LOS ANGELES – Brad Pitt has pulled out of political thriller ‘State of Play’ because he was unhappy with the script.The ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ star was due to play reporter Cal McCaffrey in the Hollywood remake of the BBC drama series, but after several meetings with director Kevin Macdonald they have been unable to resolve Pitt’s concerns.Universal Pictures said: “Brad Pitt has left the Universal Pictures production of ‘State of Play’.

We remain committed to this project and to the filmmakers, cast members, crew and others who are also involved in making the movie.
