The police at Klein Aub in the Hardap region are yet to arrest a suspect who allegedly killed a man (42) at a farm on Sunday.
The police say the deceased has been identified as Christian Byl, who was allegedly hit on the head with an axle by an unknown suspect.
The incident happened at around 01h00 on Sunday morning at farm Vaalhoek in the Klein Aub area.
“It is alleged that his body was discovered at his home by farmworkers and no arrest was made,” the police report states.
In a similar case, the police at Kuisebmond in the Erongo region arrested a man (48) after he allegedly stabbed another man (27), identified as Jeremia Johannes, with a knife on Saturday morning.
The alleged stabbing occurred at around 01h45 on Saturday at Walvis Bay.
ASSAULT WITH WOODEN STICK
The police at Ngoma in the Zambezi region have arrested two men in connection with an attempted murder case after they allegedly assaulted another man (32) with a dry wooden stick.
The police say the victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Bukalo Clinic.
The motive behind the assault is unknown.
The incident took place on Friday at around 21h00 at Ivilivinzi village in the Kabbe South constituency.
Meanwhile, the police are investigating an inquest case after a boy (6) at Khorixas in the Kunene region, identified as Ngulungo Kavahanhwa, allegedly drowned in a water pond.
No foul play is suspected in the incident which occurred on Friday at around 08h20 near the town’s dumpsite.
All the victims’ next of kin have been informed of their deaths.
