Police seek assistance to find missing Oshakati man

The Namibian Police are seeking the public’s assistance to trace Christoph Kashera (26), an Ekuku resident of Oshakati, in the Oshana region.

Kashera is originally from the Kavango region.

Police national spokesperson Kauna Shikwambi said Kashera was last seen on 8 November 2024, when he went to collect a document at the University of Namibia’s Hifikepunye Pohamba Campus in Ongwediva.

“Kashera is tall, of slender build, and dark in complexion with a height of 1.60m. It is reported that at the time he went missing, he was spotted wearing a white golf t-shirt with grey jeans,” Shikwambi said.

Shikwambi said Kashera left his sister at home without informing anyone where he was going.

“Kashera, later on, allegedly called his father and informed him that a document which he intended to collect from Hifikepunye Pohamba Campus was not there, hence he was referred to Namcol Center,” Shikwambi said.

Shikwambi said at around 15h00, his father tried to call him back, but Kashera’s phone was not reachable, and to date he has not returned home.

“Investigations are being conducted in this regard but no positive results have been yielded yet. Hence Kashera himself or anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should contact the police,” Shikwambi said.

Shikwambi urged the public to contact investigating officer Wilhem at 081 420 8847 or 081 363 0666, or to report any information at their nearest police station.
