Mention of a spouse in her life has raised questions as to whether media personality Pombili Shilongo has quietly tied the knot.
The influencer and businesswoman usually shies away from discussing her personal life, but speaking on Desert Radio on Wednesday, Shilongo opened up about her life out of the public eye.
As a special guest on the Person Behind the Persona segment of the Breakfast in the Desert show, hosts Whilzahn Gelderbloem, John-Colin Namene and Arlana Shikongo peeled back the layers of the usually private Shilongo.
Probing her on what she does in her free time, Shilongo mentioned that she was an avid football fan, but would not disclose which team she supported.
“Even my spouse to this day thinks I am supporting a certain team but he doesnt know.”
Probed further about her mystery spouse, Shilongo revealed that he is not in the entertainment industry.
“Hes completely different. Hes a geoscientist. So were not even in the same WhatsApp group,” she says.
Surprised by the news, a fan who was watching Shilongos Instagram live of her appearance on the show asked, “hano, my friend are you engaged?”
In response, Shilongo retorted: “Guys, must I define what a spouse is?”
Being such a private person, questions have always surrounded Shilongos personal and romantic life.
Earlier this year she was rumoured to be seeing artist Leathermein, however she quickly shut the rumours down, stating that she is friends with both Leathermein and his partner.
While Shilongo was not wearing a wedding ring, speculation remains about the exact capacity in which she was making use of the word spouse.
