Praise For Nuclear Energy Move

Praise For Nuclear Energy Move

IT is with great admiration that I read your newspaper (Thursday, January 11, 2007) article about the Government opting as a matter of policy to use of nuclear energy amongst other power sources.

I have always held admiration for Namibia but this has now shifted to new heights on the announcement being made. As I have stated in previous letters to you, Namibia is poised to utilise its own natural resource to create great wealth and progress for its people. On the issue of disposal of nuclear waste, it is quite basic and I am sure the Government has already planned to return the waste to the regions that the original uranium was mined from, thus in a way mimicking the ‘green’ cycle that would be done if one used biomass as a fuel source.Once more the Government should be commended and supported in its move. For all those detractors out there, this is Namibia’s chance to shine…Just look at the Middle East and its oil, and the need of manufacturers for reliable, cheaper power (China and India’s massive stockpiling of Oil / Coal).Good One Namibia.David A Jarrett UKAs I have stated in previous letters to you, Namibia is poised to utilise its own natural resource to create great wealth and progress for its people. For all those detractors out there, this is Namibia’s chance to shine…Just look at the Middle East and its oil, and the need of manufacturers for reliable, cheaper power (China and India’s massive stockpiling of Oil / Coal).Good One Namibia.David A Jarrett UK
