Recognising the need for specialised care tailored to the unique journey of pregnancy, Rolia Pregnancy and Wellness Spa recently opened its doors to the public.

Located in the heart of Ongwediva, the spa emerged as an extension of Rolia Health and Skin Care Spa.

Owner and somatologist Anelda Rolia Hijazi said the genesis of the new spa stemmed from a partnership between Rolia Health and Skin Care Spa (Ondangwa) and Mum’s Clinic at Unit 4, led by Dr Anthony Musonda.

Hijazi’s journey from leading institutions in Pretoria and Stellenbosch shaped her into more than just a spa owner, but someone who guides expectant mothers and wellness seekers towards a brighter, healthier future.

“I see this as the birth of a vision to redefine prenatal and postnatal care, one nurturing touch at a time,” she said.

Hijazi further said the spa is inspired by her passion for health and skincare. She envisioned a sanctuary where the transformative journey of pregnancy meets the healing touch of holistic wellness.

“The spa offers various services; it provides a haven of tranquility amid the whirlwind of healthcare. Here, expectant mothers find solace in knowing that specialised care is just steps away from the medical expertise they may need, creating a seamless blend of comfort and convenience.”

The team consists of passionate individuals, united by their dedication to promoting health and happiness, she said.

“With skilled somatologists, nurturing massage therapists and wellness experts, each member brings not just expertise, but a genuine desire to support and uplift every client who walks through the door. From the first flutter of life within, to the joys of motherhood and beyond, every client is embraced with compassion and dedication. Here, amid the scent of essential oils and the gentle hum of relaxation, individuals find not just treatment, but transformation.”

Hijazi said with a focus on specialised care, holistic wellness and personalised attention, they raise the bar for prenatal and postnatal support, setting a new standard for well-being at Ongwediva and beyond.

“Soothing prenatal massages, pregnancy-safe facials, waxing and feet treatments will aid in the common pregnancy-related conditions such as lower back pain, swollen hands and feet, hyperpigmentation and the struggles of shaving. The spa offers more than just pampering – it offers a path to serenity and self-care,” Hijazi said.
