President Nandi-Ndaitwah integrates trade ministry into international relations ministry

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on Saturday announced the reorganisation of the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade.

The trade department will from now on be integrated into the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation, while the industrialisation department will be integrated into the Ministry of Mines and Energy.

The Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation will resort under the Ministry of Justice to address all labour-related issues.

“This abolishment is necessary to ensure effective maximisation of their mandates,” Nandi-Ndaitwah announced at State House in Windhoek.

She declared there will be 14 ministries and seven deputy ministers.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources will be integrated into the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform.

“The team I have chosen I have no doubt will do its work But give us a chance to work and deliver services to you,” the president said.

She said both the country and parliament need to be managed.
