PRIME-ROSE Harases says her decision to venture into presenting was inspired after she was the co-host at the announcement of Miss Teen Namibia 2023’s top 10 finalists.
The official announcement of the finalists came after a preliminary show at Droombos Vineyard Country Lodge in Windhoek on 13 May.
The top 10 finalists will now proceed to the grand finale later this month at the MTC Dome at Swakopmund.
Harases, simply known as Prime-Rose, released her first album, titled ‘Thunder’, in 2021.
“I had such a great time that I would like to do this again and again. I saw the calling for presenters on Facebook and decided to give it a shot.
“At first, I was not expecting much. I was surprised that they even considered me.
“I then decided to give it my all, and I did my best. I just want the audience to enjoy the experience,” she says.
Harases says this was the perfect platform for her to challenge herself and to move outside her comfort zone.
“Yes, I love music, but I can also try out new things. I don’t want to place myself in a box and only do one thing. I want to keep pushing my boundaries,” she says.
The opportunity has taught Harases many new things, she says, of which teamwork is the most important.
“Going on stage, I have realised this is not all about me. I was co-hosting, and where I fell short, my co-host was able to pick up.
“Supporting each other is key. It is important to come up with ways to be better as a team,” she says.
Harases says she has a long way to go, but is proud of her start thus far.
She hopes to attend a few courses to improve her presenting skills and knowledge.
Harases is also busy working on new music, she says.
