The MTC Hopsol Youth Football League is nearing its conclusion, with the semifinals of the older age groups taking place over the weekend.
Ramblers and Riverheights will both have two teams in the finals after completion of the u15, u17 and u19 semifinals.
The u19 semifinals both went down to the wire with penalty shootouts having to separate the teams.
Ramblers beat Swallows 4-3 on penalties after the sides played to a goalless draw at the end of 90 minutes, while Kaizen Football Academy beat Riverheights 5-4 on penalties, after the teams were tied 1-1 at the end of full time.
Ramblers will now play Kaizen Football Academy in the u19 final at the Independence Stadium on 18 November.
In the u17 semifinals, Ramblers beat SKW 3-0 on penalties after the teams were tied 1-all at the end of 90 minutes, while Riverheights beat Athletic Club Football Academy 4-2 on penalties after a goalless draw at full time.
Ramblers will face Riverheights in the u17 final at the Jan Mohr Field on 11 November.
In the u15 semifinals, DTS beat Ramblers 2-0, while Riverheights beat Athletic Club Football Academy 1-0.
Riverheights will face DTS in the u15 final at the Jan Mohr Field on 11 November.
The u9, u11 and u13 knockout matches will be held today and tomorrow at the Jan Mohr field, while the finals will be held at the same venue on 11 November.
