The Elite Rhythmic Gymnastics Club plans to open its doors at Rehoboth on Saturday, a first for the town.
Elite Rhythmic Gymnastics Club head coach Eleonora Karamfilova says the club will be open to children and young people of all ages – starting from four years old.
“We are excited to announce the opening of our new branch at Rehoboth. Classes will be starting in September and we are thrilled to offer our community the opportunity to experience the benefits of rhythmic gymnastics,” she says.
Karamfilova says they are launching the branch after recognising a growing interest in rhythmic gymnastics at the town.
“We saw the potential to nurture young talent in the area. By establishing a branch at Rehoboth, we aim to make the sport more accessible and provide local children with the same high-quality training that our other branches offer,” she says.
“This expansion is also a response to the community’s enthusiasm for the sport and we are eager to contribute to its development.”
She says the club has been a beacon of excellence in rhythmic gymnastics for several years.
“With a commitment to fostering young talent and promoting physical and mental discipline, the club provides a structured environment where gymnasts can thrive. They offer comprehensive training programmes that cater to different skill levels, ensuring each gymnast receives the guidance they need to succeed,” Karamfilova says.
The experienced coach says sport is proven to play a crucial role in the overall development of young people. Besides gymnastics, their programmes also focus on instilling discipline, teamwork, and self-confidence.
“Rhythmic gymnastics, in particular, enhances physical fitness, flexibility, and coordination. It also encourages creativity and self-expression through movement,” Karamfilova notes.
“We urge the youth to attend classes because it not only improves their physical health but also builds confidence and resilience. In addition to gymnastics, our programmes emphasise the importance of teamwork, leadership, and goal-setting.”
The club in Rehoboth will primarily focus on teaching the fundamental skills of rhythmic gymnastics, including flexibility, balance, coordination, and artistic expression.
“The training is designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, making it suitable for beginners and advanced gymnasts alike,” says Karamfilova.
The coaching team is led by experienced and dedicated professionals, including coaches with international experience and achievements in rhythmic gymnastics.
“Each coach brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for teaching, ensuring that our gymnasts receive top-quality instruction. The coaches have trained extensively in gymnastics and are committed to helping each child reach their full potential,” Karamfilova says.
