The Northern Regions Electricity Distributor (Nored) has challenged an anonymous writer to report allegations of corruption against Nored senior managers to law enforcement agencies.
Two letters accusing three Nored senior employees of conflicts of interest and accepting kickbacks amounting to millions of dollars were widely circulated on social media this week.
The anonymous writer demanded an investigation into these employees.
The author also claims that materials from Nored offices were used for the construction of a Nored manager’s Ongwediva house.
Nored spokesperson Simon Lukas said Nored will not engage with unsubstantiated and defamatory claims.
“We advise the author to report the matter to either the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) or the nearest police if he or she has relevant facts or evidence supporting his or her allegations,” he said.
