Multi award-winning musician Shishani Vranckx says she is currently busy planning a tour with the Dutch-based Pynarello orchestra tour scheduled for April this year.
The tour, titled ‘Shishani and Pynarello Orchestra’, has scheduled performances between 13 and 21 April in The Netherlands. Vranckx said this will be her first tour with an orchestra and that attendees can expect to be blown away by offerings from her recently released album, ‘Whispers’.
“Pynarello orchestra is an amazing, unconventional orchestra renewing the approach to classical music in today’s world. I’m excited to perform music from my ‘Whispers’ album with them, as my album was recorded with orchestral arrangements,” she says.
She adds that the audience can expect a unique show with intimate storytelling interwoven with songs from her new album carried by the grand sound of orchestral music, which shows the growth in her personal and musical journey.
“I’m very excited to blend African influences with western European sounds. It feels like a musical depiction of my life. Throughout the show, we will also present music by Florence Prince, an important female Afro-American composer from the United States,” she says.
Vranckx, who regularly tours internationally, says she enjoys sharing her music with new audiences and using its versatility to transcend genres and cultures. She sees tours as incredible opportunities for sharing one’s work, reaching new audiences and for bands and groups to grow together as performers.
“For me, touring offers an incredible experience, creating life-long connections among the musicians. The great part is that everybody, both old and young, are welcome to attend the tour. I am looking forward to sharing this new journey in my music career with everyone,” Shishani says.
Tour dates are as follows – 13 April at Muziekgebouw aan het ij, Amsterdam, 14 April at De Huiskamer, Groningen, 17 April at Musis – Arnhem, 18 April at Tivoli Vredenburg, Utrecht, 19 April at Schouwburg Concertzaal, Tilburg, 20 April at De Veerensmederij, Amersfoort and 21 April at Muziekcentrum, Enschede.
