Gondwana Collection Namibia honoured the outstanding achievements of its tour operators and consultant partners at the ‘Simply the Best’ Operator Evening held this past week.
The event, held in Windhoek, recognised the pivotal role these partners play in promoting Gondwana Collection Namibia’s diverse offerings and enriching experiences for travellers.
The evening brought together key stakeholders and partners in the tourism industry. Awards were presented to top revenue generators and individuals who demonstrated outstanding performance in promoting and booking Gondwana Collection Namibia’s accommodations and experiences.
The ‘Simply the Best’ Operator Evening showcased the achievements of top performers within Gondwana Collection, Namibia2Go, and Go2 booking platforms.
Sense of Africa, Namibia Track & Trails, Pack Safaris, Private Safaris, and African Travel Concept were highlighted for their significant contributions to Gondwana Collection accommodation bookings in 2023.
On the Namibia2Go platform, operators such as African Profile Safaris, Great Explorations Namibia, Ondjamba Safaris, Cullinan Namibia Tours & Safaris, and Damarana Safaris were recognised for their leading roles in driving bookings.
Additionally, Namibia Tracks & Trails stood out as the top revenue generator on the Go2 platform.
The evening also featured appreciation awards for several tour operators and consultants, including Bluecrane Safaris Namibia, Roncook Safaris, Premier Safaris, Way Way Namibia Travel & Tours, Akilanga DMC & Events, Lifestyle Travel & Tours, African Dream Travel Namibia, African Eagle Southern Africa Territories, Terra Nova Tours & Incentives and Exclusive Africa Tours & Safaris.
These awards celebrated their ongoing dedication and support. Individuals were also acknowledged for their exceptional service and performance.
Notable recipients included Frieda Lilonga from Namibia Tracks & Trails, Michelle Suren from Pack Safaris, Inka von Wenzel from Sense of Africa, Philadelphia Hukura from Akilanga DMC & Events, and Conny Louw from Absolut Tours & Safaris.
Special recognition was given to Anya Vorster from Namibia Tracks & Trails for booking the 10 000th client on the Go2 platform, marking a significant milestone.
Jaco Visser, Gondwana Collection Namibia’s financial director, took the opportunity to share upcoming projects and developments with attendees. He emphasised the importance of strong partnerships in Gondwana’s continued success and thanked partners for their unwavering support.
The celebratory atmosphere was enhanced by performances from Gondwana’s Undivided Band, who entertained guests with lively renditions of classic hits throughout the evening.
