The Simply You Magazine Lifestyle and Fashion Awards will be held in Windhoek on 26 October.
The event promises extra glitz and glamour, offering a night of celebration and a chance to witness impeccable fashion on the red carpet.
Events coordinator Helena Shigwedha says one of the most significant challenges in hosting the awards annually is a lack of financial support.
Despite this challenge, the awards aim to recognise, celebrate and honour the Namibian creative industry.
It highlights the remarkable contributions made by individuals and brands in shaping the future of the creative and entertainment field.
“We have more than 12 categories this year,” she says.
Categories include best male and female radio presenter, photographer of the year and nods for the best influencer, content creator, accessories designer and stylist of the year, among others, says Shigwedha.
This year’s theme is ‘Circa 2050 Futuristic’, which promises a forward-thinking and innovative event.
The last event, held in 2022 under the theme ‘Avant Garde’, saw more than 50 personalities being recognised for their contributions to Namibia’s entertainment space.
This year, the event aims to draw attention to the diverse talents in the country.
Award-winning media personality Aina Kweyo was recently announced as the brand ambassador of the 2024 awards.
Kweyo brings a wealth of talent and a proven track record of excellence in her roles as a model, media personality and TV presenter.
This year’s nominees are set to be announced on 5 October.
The highly anticipated event promises to be a memorable occasion, bringing the best of Namibia’s creative industry together under one roof.
