SKW move into u19 semis

SKW became the first team to move into the u19 semifinals of the MTC Hopsol Youth Football League after matches over the weekend. 

On Saturday, Otjiwarongo Secondary School travelled to Windhoek to take on SKW in two matches, with SKW going through 3-1 on aggregate, after winning the first leg 2-0 and then drawing 1-1 in the second match. 

That put them into the semifinals where they will meet the winner between Ramblers and Pioniers Boys School. Ramblers hold the edge after beating Pioniers Boys 2-1 in their quarterfinal first leg match, with the return leg encounter due to take place this coming weekend. 

The other u19 second leg quarterfinal matches are all due to take place this coming weekend, with Collin Benjamin Soccer Academy holding a 2-0 lead over Windhoek Gymnasium, while Riverheights Football Academy and Dama Soccer Academy are all square after their first leg encounter ended in a 2-2 draw. 

In the u15 category several teams advanced to the quarterfinals after their second leg encounters were completed last weekend.

Athletic Club Football Academy’s A team was the most impressive, beating Döbra 9-0 to complete a 15-0 victory on aggregate after they won the first leg 6-0. 

On Saturday, their forward Ricardo Mukulundini led the way with five goals while Edwin Hoaeb scored two. With that ACFA A finished on top of the A knockout group and they will now meet the third placed team of Group B in the quarterfinals on 12 October. 

SKW beat Dama Soccer Academy 2-0 to win their encounter 6-1 on aggregate and finish second in Group A. They will now take on the fourth placed team in Group B on 12 October. 

DTS finished third in Group A after beating Windhoek Gymnasium 2-0 on Saturday, for a 6-1 aggregate win over two legs. They will now meet the winners of Group B in the quarterfinals. 

Riverheights Football Academy finished fourth in Group A after beating Baller Boys 4-1 on Saturday, for an aggregate 6-1 victory over two legs, and they will now meet the runners-up of Group B on 12 October.

Swallows Football Academy beat Emma Greeff 2-0, to complete an 8-1 aggregate win after they won the first leg 6-1. That put them at the top of Group B, although several matches still have to be completed before the final log standings will be determined.

DS Football Academy and Kasaona Football Academy are both on three points from one match each and well-placed to reach the quarterfinals, while ACFA II beat Quest 11 4-2 on penalties after a full time score of 1-1, to move into fourth position on two points.
