The Suzuki Super Carry light delivery gets the work done anywhere, anytime.
This vehicle combines reliability, cost-effectiveness and strength all in one.
Simplicity, reliability and price were considered when this vehicle made its debut in 1961.
The 11th generation now offers much more than 60 years ago.
The Super Carry’s load box can handle 750kg with ease.
It is just over 2m long, 1.488m wide, 30cm deep, and has no wheel arches, making it ideal for easy loading.
To assist the crew, the rear drop-flap allows loads to be fork-lifted.
To secure the load, the box is fitted with 11 rope hooks – three at the rear and four on both sides of the load box.
Limited loading space remains an issue at many businesses, specially in built-up areas or shopping malls, but with a turning circle of 4.3m and a ground clearance of 17cm, the Super Carry was designed to overcome that barrier as well.
The vehicle comes standard with a 1.2l four-cylinder petrol engine delivering 54kW at 6 000rpm.
To complement the power delivery and fuel-efficient operation, the engine’s fuel distribution happens through a multi-point injection.
The engine is geared through a five-speed manual gearbox.
Wilhelm Rademeyer from Auas Motors, Suzuki’s brand manager, says the Super Carry is a dependable and economical vehicle, which offers excellent engine performance and a spacious cargo area.
The vehicle is said to have an average fuel consumption of 5.9l/100km, averaging around 480km on the 30l fuel tank.
The cabin has more than ample space for driver and co-driver.
The driver’s seat has seven positions for comfort.
The interior features passenger and driver side pockets with pocket holders, assist grips and 12V accessory sockets to charge personal electronic equipment.
The dashboard has extra storage space for documents and other small items, while the government box is lockable.
The upholstery is easy to clean and maintain.
The Super Carry comes standard with halogen multi-reflector headlamps, a manual headlamp-levelling device, two-speed wipers, and manual adjusted side mirrors.
The side windows are manual, while the vehicle has a rear slide opening and closing window.
“Its reputation as a reliable workhorse shows its capability in various fields, from agriculture to small-scale businesses. Considering all the factors and variants, if you’re after a compact, hard-wearing and flexible vehicle that delivers on fuel efficiency, the Suzuki Carry could indeed be just what you’re looking for,” Rademeyer says.
Just like all other Auas Motors products, the Suzuki is backed and serviced by Auas Motors branches nationwide.
The Suzuki Super Carry comes standard with a three-year/100 000km warranty.
For the best experience the vehicle must be serviced once a year or every 10 000km, depending which comes first.
