Song Night is back

RMB Song Night founder and director, Lize Ehlers, says the event is back for 2020 and the new year promises an entirely new level of showmanship.

Being consistent and even exceeding expectations of nurturing the Namibian sound, Song Night pledges to focus even more on mentoring music makers and bringing explosive vocalists to the stage,” Ehlers said.

“More Namibian songs are being recognised internationally because singers are realising the importance of showcasing the quality that Namibia is able to produce. We need to be heard at international festivals across the globe. We have to help each other represent Namibia more internationally, because locally is not enough,” she added.

Ehlers said with entertainment changing gear in a very visible and audible way, Song Night is very excited for their 2020 residency at The Brewers Market.

“We salute the space and we welcome our new brand ambassador Zikizee Hangero, also known as Zikii. She is already flying the Song Night flag high, with her debut album ‘Spread The Love’,which is charting on various local radio stations” Ehlers said, noting that Song Night also welcomes Energy 100 FM on board as a media partner.

“I urge everyone to come and be part of the first Song Night of 2020. Auditions are free and acapella, but you may bring an acoustic guitar along. It will be a night with proudly Namibian songs,” she said.

Auditions will take place on 4 March at The Brewers Market from 18h00.
