Southern African women sought to co-author ’20 Beautiful Women’

American author Saba Teckle, who is behind the bestseller ‘20 Beautiful Women’, is calling on Southern African women to share their stories and be part of an upcoming version of the book. For this version, women from all Southern African countries including Tanzania are being sought to bare their souls for a book that is expected to inspire millions of African women.

Any woman with a story to tell is invited to be one of the 20 co-authors.

Beauty as envisioned by the authors of this book goes beyond the superficial. This beauty is that of a woman who shares her story so that others won’t feel alone. Who is peaceful, and has made peace with her past. Who is full of passion. One with integrity and strength of character and a desire to change the world.

This project is a reality mainly due to the efforts of Namibian entrepreneur, Lelanie Basson, who tracked down Teckle with a request to collaborate on an African version of the book. “I tracked down Teckle on Twitter and sent her an inbox, asking her to do an African version, we chatted and found out we have the same principles, ethos and we just gelled,” says Basson. The two have since embarked on getting the pilot phase of the project off the ground and seeing it to completion.

For a fee of roughly N$6 000, prospective co-authors for the book can have the opportunity for growth and self-development. This is a jumpstart for those with dreams of becoming a self-help author, public speaker, or a life coach/mentor as well as a great way to avoid the self-publishing route which is more costly.

By selling e-book versions of the book, authors will earn 100% of the profits. They will share in profits of the hard copy that will be published. They will also gain the prestige of authoring what may become another top-selling book judging by it’s success in the US. Mentoring is also another benefit that comes with being a part of the project.

“You don’t have to be a good writer, we have ghost writers that can assist you in writing. You also don’t need to have qualifications or an impressive CV, all women are welcome,” says Basson.

To submit your story, writers are encouraged to visit the following website for complete instructions on submitting stories: http://www.sabatekle.com/author/sa.
