In light of recent discussions on various social media platforms or groups, it is clear that the Namibia Football Association (NFA) leadership is being criticised constantly.

It is important to acknowledge that constructive criticism is vital for the growth and improvement of any organisation, including sport bodies like the NFA.

However, it is equally crucial to ensure these discussions remain respectful and focused on fostering a productive dialogue aimed at positive change.

Criticism should be aimed at enhancing understanding of the challenges faced by the NFA and its leadership, rather than devolving into disparaging remarks.

Unwarranted negativity can undermine the efforts of those working diligently to develop football in Namibia and can deter constructive contributions from others who may wish to participate in the discourse.

I encourage all members of these platforms or groups to engage in discussions that are solution-oriented, respectful, and aimed at promoting the welfare of football in Namibia.

Let’s focus on building a supportive community that prioritises collaboration over criticism and seeks to uplift the sport for the benefit of all involved.

Football in Namibia has the potential to grow and become a major force in African and global football.

However, for this potential to be realised, it is crucial that the leadership of football in Namibia is comprised of individuals who possess a deep understanding of the dynamics of the modern game.

In recent years, it has become evident that leadership of Namibian football lacks the necessary knowledge and understanding of the administrative protocols and principles vital for the development of the sport.

This has led to a situation where the sport is being hindered instead of being promoted and nurtured.

One of the key issues that need to be addressed is the manipulation of the voting system.

Instead of electing individuals with a genuine interest in the growth of football in Namibia, the voting process has been used to further personal agendas and interests.

This has led to a lack of accountability and transparency, resulting in a stagnant and deteriorating football landscape.

To bring about positive change and progress, Namibian football needs leaders who are not only passionate about the sport but have the necessary expertise and knowledge to lead the sport to greater heights.

Moreover, it is crucial that these leaders possess the capacity and networking abilities to attract potential investors to the sport.

Football is a business, and without proper investment, it is difficult for the sport to thrive and reach its full potential.

In conclusion, it is time for a change in the approach to football leadership in Namibia, and it is our hope that the relevant stakeholders will come together to ensure the sport is in the hands of capable and dedicated individuals who will drive its growth and development.
