Stabbing suspects in court

Stabbing suspects in court

TWO men charged with murder in separate stabbing incidents at Keetmanshoop over the weekend appeared in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

The men, aged 19 and 20, are Theofilus Galant and Vivian Meyer. They were not asked to plead. Their cases were postponed until June 23 for further Police investigation and to allow them to get legal representation. The fatal stabbings occurred during the early hours of Saturday at Keetmanshoop’s Tseiblaagte residential area. The deceased, both aged 23 years, have been identified as Edwin Claassen and Clifton van Rhyn. It is alleged that a quarrel led to Van Rhyn’s death. luqman@namibian.com.na
